Global Category Leader - Flow, E&I
In this REMOTE role, you must be based in EUROPE.
What is the purpose of the role?
The Global Category leader- Flow E&I will report into Global Category Management Team Leader. You will have circa an ~$80M spend portfolio and will be responsible for developing, validating and implementing the global Procurement strategy for sub-categories within the portfolio.
You will work with with Procurement Project/Product Leaders, Regional Category Leader, Technology, and Supply Chain Leaders.
What are the day to day duties?
Define a Global Category Strategy for assigned Categories that drives continuous improvement within the Category and benefits to the business
Develop/Manage Preferred Supplier Network and Strategic Suppliers
Define Contracting Strategy and lead Supplier Negotiations
Drive Cash Improvements across assigned Categories
Mitigate Risks to the business by driving a comprehensive strategy that builds a flexible supply chain and ensures continuity of supply
Develop Best Cost Country strategy
Drive supplier relationship management processes
Report to Leadership on Market Trends and Category Performance
General understanding of Direct material categories and water treatment technologies (products and operations).
Familiarity with market trends and key suppliers in the relevant Categories.
Knowledge of Supply base for Valves, Pipes & Fittings, Instruments, Analyzers, RO Pressure vessels
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing presentations and comfortable interacting with internal/external stakeholders and Water Tech senior management.
Qualifications
What skills and background will you likely have?
Bachelor's degree or time-served experience
Solid experience in Category/Supplier Management, Purchasing, Production Control, Engineering, Product or Project management
Experience in procurement of items in Flow, Electrical and Instrumentation Category
Ability to travel - estimated to be 30% annually
