Scope of Role
The Global Head of Legal manages the Legal department. Reporting to the CFO, you will:

• Support sales and business development team with the drafting and negotiation of contracts
• Support the procurement of business-critical goods and services
• Support the business on all legal matters, e.g. employment, IP, real estate and litigation
• Oversee the ITRS company secretarial function
• Communicate with ITRS providers of company secretarial services to ensure companies remain compliant with local laws and regulations

Reporting to our Chief Finance Officer in our London HQ, you will have the benefit or a hybrid work schedule, working 3 days per week in the office.
As Global Head of Legal, you will:

• Be a trusted adviser and partner by dealing with all legal aspects of the business in a commercially sound manner and providing guidance and counsel for accomplishing ITRS' overall OKR's.
• Manage the legal function by providing a vision and OKR's for the legal function aligned to the ITRS OKR's; by providing support, oversight and empowerment of the team, by working with external legal and other advisers to ensure that ITRS receives the best possible advice; whilst managing the legal budget.
• Provide Leadership leading by example and by our company values; Inspire a shared vision and enlist others in the vision; Challenge the process with innovation, experimentation and take risks to develop the department and its function.

• Support sales and procurement function by managing ITRS suite of template legal agreements (including software licencing, partnerships and managed services agreements) and by negotiating contracts and schedules with ITRS's customers, partners and suppliers.

• Support the business on all legal matters being a point of escalation for all legal issues arising across the ITRS; by assisting with compliance and risk mitigation, by working with external counsel across the jurisdictions where the ITRS operates.
• Work with the finance department by assisting with insurance, company secretarial, business licences queries, compliance and risk mitigation.
• Oversight of the ITRS company secretarial function by working with the providers of company secretarial services to ensure the group companies remain compliant with local laws and regulations

Requirements:
As Global Head of Legal, you have:

• Experience as a qualified solicitor with 8 years PQE and experience in general commercial law.
• Experience working in-house for a software company or financial services business.
• Ability to analyse information of a written, verbal and technical nature, probe for further information and create workable solutions to problems.
• Track record in drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements (including software licencing, maintenance and distribution) and custom commercial contracts
• Commercial awareness
• Experience assessing situations, operating autonomously and taking decisions
• Clear and concise communicator both written and verbally
• Flexibility to react quickly, reschedule and prioritise workload
• Experience managing a team of legal professionals
