Job Description


The Global Key Account Manager (KAM) will develop and maintain executive high-level relationships with several customers of strategic importance for the Bioprocess Solutions Business Unit.

The Global KAM is responsible for growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction with these global accounts. To this end, this position will be setting the global strategy for each key account, mapping their global footprint and drug development pipeline, identifying opportunities, and assembling the appropriate support team

Missions

  • Serve as the lead negotiator for long-term supply agreements or global pricing contracts, as well as large quotes
  • Coordinate and communicate with field sales coverage within our regional sales teams in Europe, Americas and Asia
  • Lead complex selling processes that involve influencing decision-makers in departments responsible for purchasing/strategic sourcing, validation sciences, process engineering/manufacturing.
  • Coordinate timely responses with all applicable functions within Saint-Gobain through project management, leadership and influence.
  • Maintain adequate reporting (sales, margin, project pipeline, Large Volume Opportunities) in connection with business objectives.
  • Establish a joint strategic plan for the key accounts in portfolio
  • Analyze the customers\' industrial footprint as well as product development pipeline, to translate it into sales, co-development opportunities, capacity demand and Quality/Regulatory/Validation requirements for Saint-Gobain.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams to address customer needs, to devise and implement strategic plans and to communicate clearly to all internal stakeholders
  • Ability to resolve complex, global business issues (e. g. pricing, negotiation) using multiple parameters
  • Excellent negotiation, business law and communication skills
  • 10+ years global key account management
  • Knowledge of biopharmaceutical processes and of the biopharmaceutical industrial landscape is preferred
  • Proven ability to drive change within the organization through leadership and influence
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written (other languages are a plus)
