Markets Operations Belfast Overview:

Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Team Overview:

The Markets Operation Transformation team is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. The team represent the Markets Transformation group in providing support and advice to Markets Operations as an invested strategic partner. Collaborating to provide solutions and executing vs our goals towards our Target Operating Model.

Our goal is to support in the delivery of best-in-class re-engineering solutions to enable our Operations professionals to excel with client service excellence, robust risk management and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify & work with stakeholders and key organizations to ensure program & project scope definition meets business objectives build and maintain relationships with each.
  • Ensure adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.
  • Create, prepare & maintain materials necessary to track status & progress.
  • Communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Escalate program risks to the Markets Operations transformation lead and other senior management as appropriate.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.
  • Work closely with the Change Management team to review strategic opportunities for innovative solutions to help re-engineer processes, build scale and mitigate
Qualifications/Must Have Skills:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Significant previous experience in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally in an operations organization
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented with attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business as an advisor and business partner to the organization with a clear client orientation.
  • Strong risk management and control mindset
  • Collaborative work style; effectively interacts with partners across organizational boundaries/hierarchies
  • Demonstrate experience as someone who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly, effectively influencing across cross functional teams
Successful candidates will attend a three week Market Operations Training Academy if required.

This aims to help you understand how Markets Operations work and where your role fits in in Citi while also providing you with all the tools needed to be the best you can be in your new role.
