Wood is seeking a Global Owner of Production Optimisation Consultancy to join our Intelligent Assets team within our Digital Consulting Business Unit, to develop and grow a new service line focusing on supporting our clients with Production Optimisation across their existing and aging assets.
This role is open to candidates around the world and will be based in any of Wood's main offices in UK, Europe or the Middle East. Relocation will be considered for the right candidate

The Role
Wood intends to start up and grow a new service offering focused on helping oil and gas companies incrementally improve production and maximise returns on operating assets. We are seeking a dynamic leader to develop this service across our global business.
The role involves identifying opportunities to enhance production at client facilities, collaborating with client stakeholders to build a compelling case for action, and driving sales of our production improvement services.
You will be responsible for developing and refining processes to capitalise on production improvement opportunities, including increasing throughput, reducing energy use and emissions, enhancing the commercial value and cutting costs. Additionally, you will lead the development of these processes within Wood.
Candidates should have had previous experience that has included responsibility for production at an operating asset in the oil and gas industry, and direct client interaction. Strong leadership and sales skills are essential.
Reporting to a Director-level executive, you will position Wood as the go-to company for production performance improvement.

Typical responsibilities
Lead the development of a Wood production improvement process that builds on best practice approaches, including stakeholder engagement through workshops and calibrated production modelling
Spearhead client engagement and facilitate sales of our production improvement services
The sales process will include working with clients to identify opportunities at their facilities and build a compelling case for action
Foster client loyalty and drive business growth
Ensure that production improvement engagements are delivered to schedule, budget and quality expectations
Meet sales and utilisation expectations
Forecast and report business performance
Lead recruitment of the production optimisation team in-line with revenue growth
Personnel management responsibilities as the service line grows

Expected:
Degree Qualified: From a reputable institution in a relevant technical or business discipline
A results-oriented and empathetic individual who can deliver effective production improvement engagements, including effective facilitation of workshops
Practical and analytical skills to craft compelling cases for action and high-value work scopes
Considerable experience in roles that have involved responsibility for production at an operating asset and direct client interaction.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships
An empathetic and positive approach, coupled with a genuine interest in understanding and addressing client needs to help them achieve their objectives
An adaptable mindset, capable of operating effectively amidst uncertainty and change
Self-driven, enthusiastic, and equipped with a proactive attitude
Proficiency in using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for persuasive communication
Desirable:
A track record of working with both large-scale enterprises and mid-market operators in the energy sectors is preferred
