External Engagement and Global



This new full time post is available immediately on a permanent basis and offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time working on campus and some time from home.

Summary of the role



The University of Exeter has is delivering against its Strategy 2030, which places working with global partners at the heart of tackling major societal challenges facing the world today. Partnerships form a huge part of this strategy, including establishing a range of partnerships with global universities to support research, teaching, and Transnational Education (TNE) priorities.

The Partnership Engagement Officer will work with Regional Heads in support of Global Partnerships priorities for the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) and the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (HLS). This will include supporting the Regional Heads with the identification of global partners in support of the faculty global plans, offering project and administrative support for global activities, and ensuring the smooth administration of faculty activities - including some event planning, budget management, project management and relationship management. It is envisaged that the postholder will split their time evenly between HASS and HLS; once established the postholder will have the opportunity to undertake some distinct projects with strategic partners or networks.

Some overseas travel may be required. The post-holder will have regular engagement and guidance from the Regional Head team and the Head of Global Partnerships in the delivery of agreed targets and activities. The post-holder will work closely with staff in other areas of professional services to support the delivery of the Global Strategy. This will include but is not limited to: Marketing, Communication and International student recruitment; Innovation, Impact and Business in relation to industry relationships; Research Services in relation to research funding; Global Opportunities in relation to student mobility; Teaching, Quality Assurance and Enhancement in relation to programme development; Legal and others from Compliance, Governance and Risk; and Global Advancement in relation to philanthropy and alumni relations.
