Outline of Role:



An exciting opportunity for a Global Sales Manager to lead the sales function of the business. Reporting to the CEO, this person will help drive both UK and Global sales growth by managing our UK sales team as well as supporting our channel distributors around the world. The role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of sales strategy, and a proven ability to manage and grow a high performing sales team. The role also provides the main link between our engineering and sales departments which helps to ensure customer relationships are always maintained to the highest standard.

The Global Sales Manager will support our field sales, service teams, customers and distributors with technical and commercial information and his/her expertise will be fully complementary to the selling skills of our sales team. This will enable a better understanding of the underlying customer demands and offer the best possible response on how to solve customer problems.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:



Sales Leadership & Strategy:

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets and align with company growth objectives. Identify key growth opportunities in the electronics industry. Lead efforts to expand into new markets, developing relationships with key industry players, including manufacturers, testing facilities, and government agencies. Oversee the development and execution of key account management strategies, nurturing high-value relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. Work closely with our worldwide distributor base to enhance our relationship with them to best serve our customers.

Market Expansion & Business Development:

Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers at major electronics companies, ensuring our products are integrated into their long-term reliability and quality processes. Lead initiatives to increase brand visibility and establish the company as a market leader through attendance at key industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Collaborate closely with the product development and engineering teams to ensure that our solutions meet evolving market needs and customer feedback is incorporated into future product releases.

Team Management & Development:

Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and success. Establish clear KPIs for the sales organization, regularly assessing performance and making adjustments to achieve both individual and team goals.

Sales Process Optimisation:

Implement and optimise sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency, from lead generation to deal closure. Ensure the sales team uses CRM and sales analytics tools to maintain accurate forecasting, manage the sales pipeline, and identify trends in customer behavior. Lead contract negotiations and ensure mutually beneficial terms with clients and partners.

Reporting & Financial Responsibility:

Monitor and report on key metrics related to sales performance, pipeline health, and market penetration to the executive leadership team. Provide accurate sales forecasts, budgeting, and financial planning to ensure alignment with company goals and resource allocation. Analyse market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions that influence future sales strategies and product roadmaps.

Experience:



The successful candidate needs to have a background in PCB electronics assembly and strong technical knowledge of the industry to drive growth. The candidate will be a self-starter, able to work with a diverse and widely located team. He/she will be results driven, a strategic thinker with a keen eye for details. This person will be accountable for driving growth from new and existing product offerings. There will be global travel requirements so a confident traveler is key. He/she must be credible and be able to operate at a senior level.

Proven track record of leading successful sales teams and driving significant revenue growth in technical, highly specialized markets. Strong technical understanding of our products. Experience of working in small teams. At ease with technology and engineering environments. Evidence of understanding and solving, customer problems. Experience of dealing with support issues. Effective sales leader and manager. Excellent people manager, developer of talent with strong interpersonal skills. Experienced in negotiation strategy and implementation. Able to prioritise multiple tasks in a demanding environment. Confident international traveler. Face-to-face sales experience. Strong skills to convert prospects, close deals, and achieve sales targets. Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for pipeline management & forecasting. Exceptional communication skills (both verbally and written). Ability to self-motivate and self-manage. Able to assess and control pricing structures, calculations and mathematical figures. Strong problem identification and objections with resolution abilities. Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices and techniques. Successful track record of building strong relationships with customers and colleagues Strong attention to detail. Fully competent with using information technology as a business tool Excellent Microsoft Office skills Electronics industry experience (essential). Full UK driver's license (must own vehicle).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 70,000.00-80,000.00 per year
