Overview
This role is ideal for someone who's hands-on, collaborative, and passionate about using media to solve real business challenges.
This isn't just about strategy decks--it's about making media work harder for Haleon's brands and consumers. You'll be part of a team that values clarity, action, and impact.
Responsibilities
Lead Strategic Media Initiatives
Drive and embed Above Brand Strategic workstreams that elevate media effectiveness across Haleon's global footprint.
Champion initiatives like refining the annual media budgeting process, evolving the Golden Rules for Media Effectiveness, and guiding annual media planning excellence.
Partner Across Regions
Collaborate with regional and business unit teams to solve complex challenges, align with global priorities, and craft compelling narratives that clearly define media's role and impact.
Turn Data into Direction
Translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
Identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and provide solutions to strategic brand challenges--like navigating A&P pressures in competitive markets.
Elevate Media Planning Excellence
Be the go-to expert for media strategy and planning.
Provide hands-on support and guidance across audience insights, comms planning, media jobs-to-be-done, and measurement frameworks.
Build Capability & Share Knowledge
Identify skill gaps and create learning tools that empower teams.
Foster a culture of continuous learning through forums like "Chinwag" and other internal knowledge-sharing platforms.
Qualifications
Significant experience in the advertising/media industry, ideally with local market experience.
Proven track record as a strategist or planner, delivering data-driven, insight-led communication strategies.
Confident communicator with the ability to simplify complex ideas and present them with clarity and conviction-especially in client-facing forums.
Deep understanding of media planning across digital and traditional channels, including buying approaches and measurement.
Strong analytical skills with experience in evaluating multi-channel campaign performance and turning insights into action.
Expertise in tools like TGI and competitive analysis platforms.
Collaborative leader with excellent organizational and time management skills.
