Global Training Quality Assessor
Location: Hemel Hempstead HQ (Hybrid / Remote working considered)
Travel: Approx. 60% global travel
Reports to: Global Training Quality Manager
We are looking for a Training Quality Assessor to join our Global Training team - someone passionate about improving learning outcomes, supporting trainers, and ensuring our training provision remains best-in-class across every region we operate in.
This role plays a pivotal part in delivering the Global Training and Documentation strategy by driving the implementation of the global training quality framework. It is responsible for ensuring that Smiths Detection's training provision remains consistent, credible, and of the highest standard across all regions.
The postholder will lead on all training quality assurance activities, including course and material validation, trainer observations, feedback, and mentorship. By supporting trainers in developing best practice and adopting innovative delivery methods, this role strengthens capability across the global training community.
Acting as a subject matter expert, the individual will also contribute to the instructional and digital learning design pillar of the department, providing guidance to ensure all training activities align with established standards and regulatory requirements.
In addition, the role will directly support and advise the Senior Manager for Global Delivery and Quality, enabling the Quality Manager to focus on strategic priorities while ensuring quality assurance processes, trainer development initiatives, and CPD coordination are effectively executed and scaled.
The postholder will also hold line management responsibility for a team of trainers, ensuring they are supported, motivated, and continuously developed in line with departmental goals.
