This is a full time Clinical Psychologist (Wellness Counsellor) position. The post-holder reports for clinical supervision to the NYU Assistant Director, Global Clinical Services, and to the Vice President for Student Mental Health, will participate in regularly scheduled individual and group clinical supervision meetings, and will otherwise collaborate with NY based colleagues as required; for other duties and administration the post-holder reports to the Site Director, NYU London (NYUL).
The post-holder has responsibility for providing on-site, expert mental health support and counseling services to members of the NYULcommunity (approximately 600 undergraduate and graduate students during the academic semesters and 150 students during January term and summer), and an ability to coordinate support for physical health issues.
The post-holder has responsibility for proposing, organizing and implementing programs and services related to the mental wellbeing of the student population. The post holder will work with other professionals at NYUL who are responsible for other aspects of student health including ensuring immunization compliance of the NYUL population. The post holder will create and deliver health promotion and orientation programming related to wellness needs of NYUL students and will deliver relevant wellness training to faculty and staff at NYUL including detecting students in distress, responding to matters of sexual misconduct, etc. The post-holder works closely both with NYUL colleagues and those based at NYU in New York City.
