We have a vacancy for a Delegated Ordering Team Leader to work within our Delegated Ordering Team hub.


You will manage a team of Clinical Administrators, who work on a contractor basis and ensure safe and effective quality assurance of clinical and administrative processes within our innovative virtual hospital services. As a highly professional patient centred leader, you will ensure the smooth running of services from an administrative point of view within the team. You will ensure exceptional standards of performance, that KPI's and other related targets are met whilst promoting excellent customer service and effective working relationships.

Rate of Pay:

37,000 to 42,000 per annum depending on experience


Hours:

35 hours per week between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday


As a Delegated Ordering Team Leader, you will:



Assist in the development of measures to ensure clinicians receive an adequate oversight of their advice and care. Assist in performing regular quality control tests on clinical and administrative functions across the organisation. Ensure appropriate investigations are requested by Medefer's consultants and clinicians and that requests are processed through Medefer's platform or third party. Work closely with the Patient Care Team to communicate with GP's, Registrars, Consultants and Patients to troubleshoot pathway issues and escalate to the Head of Operations any complex issues. Ensure urgent patients (2WW's) are processed according to agreed standards. Identify new risks, issues and troubleshoot with virtual clinical pathways. Provide effective team leadership, providing expertise, advice and guidance from a broad knowledge base to improve services by anticipating needs, planning and implementing change according to service delivery plans and objectives, and changing health care needs, ensuring the provision of operational resilience and efficiency. Ensure compliance with Medefer's corporate governance requirements ensuring processes are followed to monitor clinical quality, investigate complaints and incidents and identify and manage risk.

The ideal candidate will have:

A medical degree and have trained as a doctor up to the UK equivalent of Foundation Year 2. Administrative or clerical experience in varied healthcare settings, including GP surgeries, hospitals, pharmacies. Previous administrative work experience dealing with patients directly. Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
