Following the retirement of our long serving caretaker we are looking for a replacement.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Head teacher and Senior Leadership Team for the provision of an efficient and effective caretaking service, and will be able to work in partnership with our school team to:
Manage the general upkeep of the school building, undertaking minor repairs, redecoration and maintenance
Be responsible for the opening and closing of the school site undertaking regular security
checks, including being the first key holder for out of hours emergencies
Oversee the efficient working of the school's lighting, water, heating, fire and alarm systems, advising on matters relating to energy control and conservation
Assist in the management and operation of lettings
Assist in safety audits of the premises and comply with Health and Safety guidelines at all times
Show initiative, commitment and a willingness to develop in the role
Actively contribute to the ethos and aims of the school
Have a willingness to get involved in school activities
Support and assist with traffic management initiatives
Help maintain and develop the school grounds
Be responsible for a team of cleaners
Daily cleaning of agreed areas.
A full driving licence and own transport is preferred but not essential for the post.
What will be your hours?
6:30 am - 10:30 am
2.30 pm - 6pm (5.30pm on a Friday)
oo Holidays cannot be taken during school term time.
