Job Description

We are seeking a permanent Chef who is passionate, flexible, ambitious, business focused, with excellent attention to detail. In return, we will provide continuous personal development with training and an enjoyable, friendly working environment.

Reporting to the Food and Beverages Manager in a kitchen that produces quality food for members and guests including functions of up to 120 people. This will include weekend working and some late evening events.

Hours: 30+ hours per week, over 5 days, which will include weekends & evenings.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



General Kitchen & Staff Managemen

Ensure the efficient and smooth running of the kitchen. Promote and maintain good working relationships throughout the catering team. Provide guidance to kitchen staff in upholding high culinary standards Ensure that best food practices and kitchen hygiene protocols are adhered to Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Manage inventory and ordering of kitchen supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.

Health & Safety



Assist in the regular review of COSHH and hazard risk assessments. Ensure compliance with all food hygiene regulations are adhered to within
the kitchen environment in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.

General



Cover some aspects of the role of the Food and Beverage Manager as appropriate and as directed. Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager.

Qualifications



The candidate must have a minimum qualification of NVQ level 1-3 Food Hygiene level 2

Essential Desirable



Relevant experience in a catering environment

A passion for high quality food and food service

Experience of function catering

Catering qualifications or Advanced catering qualifications

An effective team player

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Good working knowledge of health and safety procedures

Attention to detail

Comprehensive computer skills - outlook- word - excel

Good food knowledge to create dishes for daily specials, functions, daily menu

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-15.22 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
