Term: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 45 hours per week (5 out of 7 days, shifts will include emphasis on weekends when golf is busiest with high demand )

Location: Sherdley Park Golf Club, St Helens

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced

Golf Manager for Sherdley Park Golf Club

Born out of a love for hospitality and great service for everyone, Green Circle Leisure portfolio of golf clubs lies in the Liverpool City Region.

The successful candidate should be an individual who is capable of exercising independent judgement and who possesses the personal disposition required of people who work well with the public. You will assume an ambassadorial role and serve our members/guests, ensuring service excellence.

Your duties will include and not be limited to:

Adhering to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.

A focus on driving revenue and footfall on the golf course, from memberships, society & corporate golf and from pay & play visitors.

Ensuring compliance with operational standards, company policies and the legal requirements.

Maintaining and improving the image of the golf course and facilities by implementing high standards of presentation for yourself, your staff and the surroundings including pro shop/reception. Playing an active role in the promotion of the golf club via the marketing plan. Ensuring a safe working and guest environment and completing accident reports promptly. Drafting the annual calendar of competitions, posting notices regarding competitions and publishing results. Providing direction of golf course employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
The successful candidate should be passionate about the golf and leisure industry, be a strong team player, have proven track record of achievement in golf manager/sales, be an excellent time manager and possess strong analytical skills. You should have knowledge of golf course management, operations, practices and procedures.

Additional Information:

Experience in leading within the commercial golf industry, with strong local knowledge .

PGA qualification is preferred but not essential.

Proof of eligibility to work within the UK is required and applicants must live within easy travelling distance from Allerton Manor Golf Club.
