Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic golf Professional shop assistant to join our team at Cold Ashby Golf Centre. We are situated the rolling hills of North Northamptonshire, close to the Leicestershire and Warwickshire borders.
This position will be of interest to those who are interested in working in a retail, customer focused, environment and offers a wide range of experiences in the friendly surroundings of a member's owned club.

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service to our members and guests, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience. This role involves assisting with merchandise sales, managing inventory, and supporting the overall operations of the golf shop.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner. Provide information about golf products, services, and course details. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain an organised and visually appealing shop environment. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring stock levels. Handle customer inquiries. Promote special offers and events to enhance customer engagement. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the shop.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred. Strong communication skills in English is mandatory. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently. A passion for golf or knowledge of golf products is desirable but not essential. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied hours is required and will require the ability to work weekends (mainly Sundays) and also cover mid-week requirements (approx. 20-30 hours per week).
