Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Golf Shop Sales Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service to our customers while assisting with the daily operations of the golf shop. The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf, excellent communication skills, and a friendly disposition to create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. The role is based upon 25 hours per week over, over 3 days.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their needs in the golf shop. Manage sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth checkout process. Promote and upsell merchandise, including golf equipment, apparel, and accessories. Maintain an organised and visually appealing shop environment by restocking shelves and arranging displays. Answer phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries and taking reservations as needed. Assist in managing inventory levels and conducting stock checks regularly. Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional service delivery throughout the shop.

Skills

Excellent phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries effectively. Customer service experience is essential. Knowledge of the golf industry is highly desirable. Strong selling skills with the ability to upsell products to enhance customer experience. Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory counts accurately. Ability to maintain and create high standards within visual merchandising. Organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and manage stock efficiently. Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues alike.
