G4S Patient Transport Services (PTS) is one of the UK's largest Non-Emergency Patient Transport providers, carrying out over 500,000 journeys on behalf of the NHS every year. With 12 operational bases across the UK and a dedicated call centre, we employ over 720 members of staff to deliver safe, caring, high-quality patient transport.
About the Role
As a Governance Auditor you will play a vital role in supporting our audit functions. This entry-level position is designed to assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting activities, ensuring comprehensive oversight and compliance with regulatory standards.
You will work closely with the Quality Governance Lead and collaborate with operational teams to enhance our governance framework.
Some of the key responsibilities for this role are;
Audit Preparation:
Assist in the development of audit plans and schedules to ensure the timely and thorough execution of audits.
Data Collection:
Gather and organise relevant data and documentation necessary for audits, ensuring availability for review.
Fieldwork:
Conduct on-site audits, including staff interviews, observations, and sample testing, to evaluate adherence to policies and procedures.
Performance Evaluation:
Assess the effectiveness of existing processes and controls, identifying areas for improvement.
Reporting Findings:
Document audit findings using SafetyCulture, ensuring clarity and conciseness and providing evidence to support conclusions and recommendations.
Follow-up Actions:
Collaborate with operational teams to monitor and track the implementation of audit recommendations.
Compliance Monitoring:
Support ongoing efforts to monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives based on audit findings and industry best practices.
About you
The successful candidate must have strong administration skills and attention to detail, have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as working proactively as part of a team and using your own initiative. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines, maintain confidentiality, have the ability to prioritise workload, maintain high levels of accuracy and challenge where necessary.
We are looking for a highly motivated person, with the ability to be resilient, confident with a tenacious can-do attitude. You must have the ability to embrace complexity, be a part of a busy and fast paced environment and be flexible and adaptable to deal with ever-changing scenarios.
