Step into the role of Governance & Risk Support at Barclays within the Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations (TTRO) team, where you will be supporting the TTRO Governance & Control team in driving robust governance practices and ensuring timely, accurate reporting to senior stakeholders. The role is pivotal in coordinating governance activities across TTRO, producing high-quality reporting packs, and maintaining strong engagement with internal and external forums.


To be successful as a Governance & Risk Support, you should have:

Good communicator - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing concise, impactful reports and presentations. Knowledge of a Governance & Risk environment. Stakeholder management - able to engage and influence key stakeholders across multiple functions to achieve consensus on way ahead/resolution Organisation & Time Management - Skilled at prioritising tasks and meeting demanding deadlines. Stakeholder Engagement - Ability to build relationships and influence across diverse teams and senior levels. Strong understanding of governance frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory requirements. Track record of producing high-quality governance reporting and metrics for senior stakeholders.

Analytical Skills - Ability to interpret complex data and produce accurate, insightful reports and present insights clearly for executive audiences. Technical Proficiency - Competent in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of governance tools and data visualisation advantageous.

This role is based in Glasgow with a hybrid working model of working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution. Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes. Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes. Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency. Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders. Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations. Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
