We are keen to introduce the GPA role at Collingham as we have identified there is an opportunity for a GPA to support the GP(s) smooth running of clinics by performing the more routine administration and clinical tasks on behalf of the GP freeing up their time to focus on the patient.We see the role being 25 hours per week working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 5 hours per day.Main duties of the jobArranging appointments, referrals and follow up appointments of patientsCompleting basic (non-opinion) forms for the GP to approve and sign including, but not limited to, insurance, mortgage and Department for Work and Pensions forms.Explaining treatment procedures to patients including arranging follow up appointmentsHelping the GP liaise with outside agencies i.e. getting an on call doctor on the phone to ask advice or arrange admission while the GP can continue with their consultation(s)Be trained to do workflowBe familliar with working on System OneLead on health promotion and education workAbout usWe are a rural practice, serving almost 8000 patients.
