Practice ManagerPear Tree Surgery, Kingsbury, North Warwickshire.Salary 35,000 p.a. (plus discretionary bonus).NHS Pension scheme.We are seeking a full time GP Practice Manager who will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of the practice.The successful candidate would have excellent organisational skills, with experience in managing a diverse team of people including receptionists, dispensers, cleaners, delivery drivers, secretaries, nurses and doctors. Managing this team will need hard work, enthusiasm, and excellent inter-personal skills.About us: Pear Tree Surgery is a GMS Practice providing General Practice services to 10,500 patients over two surgery sites, with a main surgery in Kingsbury and a branch surgery in Hurley, both in North Warwickshire. We provide a full range of services including minor surgery, contraceptive clinics with coil fitting and implants, diabetic, asthma and CHD clinics.We have 4 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GP?EUR(TM)s, 2 Nurses, and a Health Care Assistant as well as a team of receptionist/dispensers. We also teach GP Trainees, Foundation Doctors and medical students.We dispense medication from our two on-site dispensaries to approximately 45% of our patients.We are fully computerised using EMIS Web and Docman. CQC rated Good. High QOF achievement.The role: Whilst not a complete list of the job role the following illustrates the depth of the advertised role:Human Resources: Recruitment and retention of staff. Personnel management. Staff induction and training. Staff appraisal. Contracts and employment policies. Resolution of grievances and disputes.Financial Management: Manage staff payroll. Maximise practice income through close liaison with CCG/Public Health/GP Federation to ensure practice is paid promptly for services provided.Organisation: Arrange practice meetings. Produce and maintain practice protocols and procedures. Prepare for CQC inspection. Participate in clinical audit. Local network meeting attendance. Event planning. Staff rotas.Information Technology: Support the Practice IT system liaising with CCG and software providers. Staff training. Maintain practice website.Patient Services: Attend Patient Participation Group meetings and liaise with PPG chair. Oversee patient complaints and significant events. Ensure practice fulfils NHS contractual obligations.Premises and Equipment: Premises maintenance. Restocking of equipment and supplies both medical and administrative. Oversee cleaning schedule. Premises security. Insurance.Health and safety: Maintain Practice Health and Safety policy and standards. Maintain infection control standards. Safeguarding.Professional Development: Evaluate performance of practice and self. Effective self-management and workload prioritisation. Appropriate delegation.
