GP Receptionist, situated in the heart of Prestwich .
Applicant should be caring and compassionate to deal with patients and have good communication skills.
Main duties of the job
Job involves, answering & making phone calls, booking patient appointments, filing of patient information, processing prescriptions. liaising with healthcare providers,dealing with patients face to face and online and much more.
Experience would be an advantage especially with working with Emis web but not essential as training would be given to successful applicant.

REPORTS TO: Practice Manager/reception manager
HOURS: 25 per week
Job Summary:
Initially this is a training post.Unless the successful candidate is experienced. If not fulltraining in all aspects of Medical Reception and Administrative work related to general practice will be given. The main purpose of the role of Medical Receptionist/Administrator is to:
Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of secretarial and/or clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team
Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies
