Job Overview
We are a lovely friendly team and we are looking for an additional team member to join our team. They must have a calm, confident manner; good communication skills; the ability to multi task, work well under pressure; a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Flexibility is also important and they must be able to work as part of a team. Usual working hours are 08.45 - 18.00

The successful candidate will work as part of the dispensary team to offer a comprehensive dispensing service to patients. Previous experience of working as a dispenser or in a medical setting is preferred but not essential as training can be given. Employees are expected to have or complete the NVQ Dispensing Assistant Course and Medicines counter assistant course to develop a strong foundation and to become a knowledgeable and professional dispenser.

Responsibilities:-

The following are the core responsibilities of the Dispenser. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

Dispensing medicines safely and accurately. Collecting prescription charges in accordance with dispensary protocol Maintaining stock levels within the dispensary/ Pharmacy. Receiving and storing supplies in accordance with current policy, ensuring the cold chain is maintained where applicable. Ensuring controlled drugs are dispensed with in accordance with practice policy. Safe disposal of returned and / or out of date medicines. Ensuring all repeat prescriptions are processed within 7 days. Providing patients with advice regarding all prescription matters Process prescription requests via email, phone, written request and face-to-face Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times. Maintain accurate records at all times. Provide advice and sell OTC medicine when working within the Pharmacy. Counting and notifying prescriptions in preparation of monthly returns Adhering to Policies and procedures at all times.
Part-time hours:- 25 hours 13-14 per hour depending on experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
