An opportunity has arisen for a GP post within Wirral Community Trusts GP out of hours service to provide overnight cover (12:00-08:00) .
These are overnight shifts for our GP led service which provides primary care consultations, assessment and treatment on the phone or face to face. The face to face consultations may be at the centre or on a home visit to the patients home or temporary residence
Provide comprehensive and competent assessment, advice and treatment for primary care problems following relevant guidance where appropriate
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all consultations
Make appropriate referrals to secondary care or other agencies when appropriate.
Work collaboratively and supportively with other health care professionals.
Advise patients of the scope and limitations of the service and direct them to other services where appropriate.
Prescribe according to national and local evidence based guidelines.
Maintain appropriate professional standards as defined nationally by General Medical Council and with relevant locally agreed standards
