We have an excellent opportunity for a newly graduated individual to join our UK Finance team, as a Graduate accountant. The successful individual will report into the UK Senior Finance Manager and will gain excellent exposure to the work that the team does.


This role would suit someone with strong numeracy skills problem solving and interpersonal skills, who is looking for a varied accounting role and wishes to gain wider exposure to the commercial side of the business as they develop their career.

You will be responsible for:

Member of the UK Finance team (covering management accounting, financial accounting and budgeting) working across different areas and with different team members accordingly. Supporting the Senior Finance Manager with the effective management of the Group's management accounting including the month-end process. Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the balance sheet for the key UK trading companies, being responsible for completeness and integrity of supporting reconciliations. Expected to challenge the status quo of processes and support the team with wider finance projects to improve processes and implement new systems. Supporting the UK Financial Controller with the completion of year-end accounting, financial statements and external audit process for the two UK companies. Building strong relationships across the business, including with the Group finance team, Business Partnering Team, Management information team and Underwriting in order to identify and understand the key drivers in the UK financial results. Support with other ad-hoc projects related to UK Finance within the business as required. Develop knowledge and skills of the company's core financial systems.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Numerical degree Strong A-Level results or equivalent. A desire to develop a career as a chartered accountant. Strong numeracy skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft excel. Ability to work in a team and contribute collaboratively. Proactive work ethic. Strong communication skills. Excellent attention to detail.
