Job Description

Help shape better emergency services -- whoever you are, wherever you're from

At ORH we help emergency services across the world respond more effectively and efficiently, from optimising ambulance cover and simulating police control rooms to improving fire and rescue planning. As a Graduate Analyst, you'll apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to high-profile public projects that make a genuine difference to people's lives.

We know that diverse perspectives make our work stronger. Whatever your background, life experience or identity, you'll be welcomed and supported here.

Why join ORH?

We're a small, highly collaborative consultancy making a big impact in the emergency services sector. Recognised as one of the UK's Best Small Workplaces, we value openness, respect and inclusion. You'll work alongside experienced consultants on interesting, large-scale projects, gaining exposure, training and career development in a friendly environment.

We hold regular social and team-building events, celebrate individual interests, and encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work.

What you'll do

As a Graduate Analyst, you'll:

Analyse and interpret large, complex datasets to identify patterns and insights. Gain proficiency in ORH's bespoke simulation and optimisation modelling software. Communicate your findings to colleagues and stakeholders. Contribute ideas to improve our processes and ways of working. Manage your own workload while collaborating closely with the team. Drive your own development by learning new software, models and analysis techniques.

Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Excel (essential). Familiar with, or keen to learn, Data Visualisation Software (Tableau), Database Management (SQL), Programming Languages (Python or R), GIS or simulation modelling. Clear communicators who can explain findings to different audiences. Curious, self-motivated and able to manage their own time effectively. Collaborative and enthusiastic about working on projects with real social impact.
If you don't tick every box but are excited by the role, we still want to hear from you. We're committed to training and development to help you succeed.
