Due to exciting project wins, we are currently looking for a graduate with a degree in a relevant subject to join our EIA team. The role is a full-time position based in our Leeds (centre) or London (Farringdon) office. There will be the opportunity for some home working.

The Role
We are looking for a graduate with ideally a year or so relevant work experience (either paid or voluntary), although this is not essential, to join our growing and reputable team at Logika. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of environmental projects. Your focus will be on supporting our environmental assessment team, but you may also, if workload requires, provide support to the work of the water management, air quality, carbon, health, socio-economics, noise and ecology teams.
Our new team member will assist in environmental inputs to large-scale infrastructure and major development projects, such as:
Renewable power generation projects - including solar, hydrogen, BESS and wind
Large-scale masterplan development
Property development - including commercial, residential, industrial and healthcare development
Aviation
There will also be the opportunity to work on projects requiring Strategic Environmental Assessment.
You will work with a range of internal technical environmental specialists and designers to support the management of environmental inputs to project designs and assessments. This will include early strategy development, through to feasibility, outline design, detailed design and discharging of conditions. You will have the opportunity to work within various consenting regimes, including Town and Country Planning and Development Consent Orders.
It is the philosophy of Logika that the role of an environmental consultant should be to ensure that environmental issues are at the heart of development design. Therefore, it is of importance that you are confident when engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups and should be able to work effectively with technical environmental specialists and design teams to embed environmental design solutions into development proposals.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
A degree, and preferably a post graduate degree, in a relevant subject.
An understanding of environmental legislation, the development planning process and Environmental Impact Assessment process.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent report writing skills an absolute must.
An organised and methodical approach with a keen eye for detail.
A strong understanding of the role of an EIA Consultant and a desire to forge a career in the sector.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of an established team, coordinating inputs from specialist technical teams whilst working to a deadline.
Confidence when engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups.
