See it differently
You see the world through a unique lens and that's exactly what we need. We embrace how you see things differently - it's essential for creating a sustainable future.
Arup is a global consultancy with advisory and technical expertise across more than 150 disciplines. We guide, plan and design the future of the built environment. Globally, each year we recruit hundreds of graduates to help us see things differently and solve the most complex challenges facing our clients, climate and communities.
Our Business and Investor Advisory (BIA) team work hand in hand with Arup's entire range of technical experts, meaning clients gain access to insights and opportunities that other consultants miss. We are economists, business strategists, environmentalists, change managers, investment specialists and digital experts - all united by the desire to produce a more sustainable future for all.
The Opportunity
Arup's award-winning BIA team works with investors, Local and national Government departments and developers on projects in energy, utility, transport, regeneration and telecoms infrastructure to provide strategic commercial and financial advice. As a graduate joining the Corporate Finance and Strategy & Economics pods, you will work alongside financial, commercial, and technical specialists to provide advice on business cases, potential acquisitions, divestments, and the development of infrastructure assets. You will also contribute to strategic-level market, business plan and policy analysis alongside conducting financial and economic modelling.
We help to provide in-depth advice on the financial, commercial and technical issues driving investment across sectors, ultimately delivering and completing project finance transactions, infrastructure M&A's and business cases for major infrastructure projects. From a strategy and economics perspective we support organisations, investors, regulators, and governments on a wide range of economics, policy, and business plan advice, supported by both quantitative and qualitative techniques, and focused on ensuring evidence-based decision making. We are looking for individuals with a bachelor's degree (or higher level) in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Economics, Business or Finance discipline, or similar.
