About this role

As a Building Services Engineering Trainee at Wates, you'll learn about the design, installation and maintenance of the essential services and equipment that make a great building. With a focus on the technical and commercial aspects of projects, you will develop your experience across a project's entire life cycle, to understand how everything fits together.

What you will do



Over the course of the programme, you will:

Learn how mechanical and electrical services are designed, installed and maintained. Research current and emerging technology, understanding how it can be used to produce safe, sustainable, innovative and cost-effective solutions. Monitor essential progress and information to support team meetings. Support with managing the quality of our subcontractors MEP installations. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Commercial and Planning, to observe and learn about their processes for controlling and delivering a project.

Eligibility criteria



To be considered for this opportunity, you must:

Be on track to graduate in 2026 or earlier with a degree in any discipline. Be working towards or have achieved a minimum 2:2 classification.

Thetford.



Programme duration



This is a 2-year graduate programme offering hands-on experience, structured development and placements across different teams.
