In our Belfast office, the Water Team plays a vital role in managing the world's most precious resource. As part of a multidisciplinary group, you'll contribute to sustainable solutions across water treatment, wastewater systems, flood risk management, and drainage modelling. Our work supports resilient communities and ecosystems through innovative design, digital delivery, and strategic planning. You'll gain hands-on experience in real projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop the skills needed to tackle tomorrow's environmental challenges.





The Opportunity



As a graduate in our Belfast Water team, you'll be part of a dynamic environment where you'll contribute to real projects from day one. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll help deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions while developing your technical and consultancy skills. Typical tasks may include:


Developing drawings and models using AutoCAD or Civil3D Using ArcGIS for spatial analysis Applying Excel for measurements, calculations and costing Preparing specifications and contract documents for surveys (e.g. topographical, utility mapping, CCTV) Reviewing survey deliverables against specifications Supporting drainage design and flood risk assessments Drafting technical reports Conducting site visits for data collection and visual surveys Support site investigations, surveys and data collection to inform project development Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver project objectives Engage in project planning, budgeting and documentation Explore innovative and sustainable approaches to water engineering challenges Take part in internal training, mentoring, and professional development activities

Is this role right for you?



We're looking for the following qualifications, attributes and skills:


A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering expecting a 2:1 or above Looking to develop your career in Engineering career with a view to obtaining Professional Accreditation Have a willingness to learn new skills and a desire to deliver high quality work for a range of Clients A good communicator who thrives on working either on your own or in a team environment Have a passion for creating a sustainable future for all and Shaping a Better World Wish to explore how digital methods and automation can improve and enhance the work we deliver Demonstrate strong motivation and passion for a career in Water and/or Energy
