The role is full-time and based in Bristol or London with travel required across the UK for specific project
opportunities. There will be the opportunity for some home working.

The Role
To support our continued organic growth, we are seeking to recruit a member of staff at Assistant
Consultant/Graduate grade to work as part of our team of around 35 air quality specialists based in the
UK.
We provide a comprehensive service relating to modelling, monitoring and assessment of air quality, dust,
odour and climate change impacts. We will provide training on the relevant software and skills needed in
air quality consultancy and will provide you with in-house support and relevant experience in developing
you professionally. We actively encourage attendance at external events and membership to professional
bodies such as the IAQM and IES.
The successful candidate will be involved in exciting air quality and climate change projects across a range
of sectors including transport, energy, industry and government. You will be involved in working with the
team in delivering stand-alone air quality assessments for new developments, undertaking air quality
monitoring, preparing chapters for Environmental Statements including those that form part of
Development Consent Order (DCO) applications and undertaking leading edge research projects.
Depending on experience and interest, there are opportunities to support our Environmental Policy and
Economics Practice. This part of our business provides high quality policy advice, strategic insight as well
as scientific, policy and economic analysis in a range of environmental policy areas. These include air
quality and climate change.

Skills and experience we are looking for
You will have ideally worked or gained experience through academic research or environmental
consultancy in the field of air quality.
Essential
Strong mathematical / quantitative analysis skills
Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
Strong technical capability and ability to review and interpret data
Strong report writing skills
An understanding of the issues related to air quality including air quality legislation, policy and
guidance Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver work to tight deadlines
High level of proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability and willingness to undertake site-based monitoring and field work
A full clean UK driving license, as travel will be required
