The Opportunity:
As a specialist SME consultancy, Blueprint offers you the opportunity to learn from our subject matter experts, with some of the brightest minds in Project Controls. During your first 12 months with us at Blueprint you will progress through our 'Blueprint Academy' a carefully developed externally accredited Project Controls consultancy pathway. This will equip you with all the skills and tools you need to work on some of the UK's most exciting Engineering and Construction projects. You will also be placed onto client projects within a Blueprint team enabling you to grow as a consultant in a safe environment.
We are proud to be an ECITB (Engineering, Construction Industry Training Board) approved training provider meaning our training and trainers are accredited by an industry body. This means you get official certificates/qualifications for running through our programme and that you have credible trainers.
The programme will cover all aspects of project controls across the full lifecycle of project delivery. There are 16 modules that are outlined below. Soft skills training will also be carried out throughout the academy.
Your first 6 months will be focused on this pathway with tutorials and built in exercises. Your next 6 months will entail a combination of completing your academy modules and working part time on client projects. Your final 6 months will be working full time on client projects where you will be putting the theory you've learnt into practice.
In addition to our expert 'in-house' training you will also benefit from a range of external qualifications aligned with your chosen career pathway. Examples of these include;
Association of Project Management (APM) Project Management Fundamentals
APM Project Management Qualification
APM Project Planning and Control
Oracle Primavera P6 Professional Fundamentals/Advanced Courses
Throughout your Academy journey you will have plenty of support from our expert team. You will be assigned a 'buddy' who has successfully completed the academy programme previously. A dedicated mentor who will be one of the more senior members of the Blueprint team and your line manager who will support you with all other aspects of your role and employment.
Progression:
You will benefit from regular reviews and feedback and once your Blueprint Academy work has been successfully completed you will be assessed for your promotion to a qualified Junior Consultant. From here, goals and pathways for your future career will be agreed. This will be a bespoke development plan and you will receive ongoing support to progress your career in Project Controls.
