We are looking for a motivated Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our close-knit team. Overview:
You will be involved in the design, development, and optimisation of mechanical components and assemblies. Working closely with experienced engineers and production staff, you'll be responsible for translating customer requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions using 3D CAD tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed 3D concept models drawings using SolidWorks.
Work on new product development as well as improvement of existing designs
Liaise with the team to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to manufacture
Assist with prototyping, testing and documentation
Collaborate with clients and suppliers to refine design specifications
Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives
Timely creation of detailed drawings for manufacturing
What We're Looking For:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (BEng or MEng) or a relevant qualification or technical apprenticeship that provides a solid foundation in the principles of mechanical or design engineering
Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)
Excellent attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
Good, strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A willingness to learn and get involved in a hands-on engineering environment
Competency with Microsoft and outlook packages
Key Requirements:
Experienced and efficient in detailing including geometric tolerancing and BOM's
Understanding of Machining, manufacturing and Engineering Processes
