This role offers an excellent opportunity to put academic learning into practice in a dynamic, real-world setting. You will contribute to the development of products from initial concept through to full production, gaining exposure to the complete design lifecycle.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will be actively involved in design projects with a strong focus on CAD modelling and design using SolidWorks and/or Creo. This position is well-suited to someone eager to grow their technical expertise while developing practical, hands-on experience in a supportive team environment.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:



Create and update 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Solidworks and/or Creo. Assist with concept development, design reviews, and engineering change processes. Support prototype builds, testing, and validation of assemblies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, production, purchasing) to deliver design solutions. Ensure designs meet required standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance. Maintain accurate documentation and support configuration control. Contribute to continuous improvement of design methods, tools, and processes.

GENERAL



Foster and maintain strong communication within MPP Global teams, including Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain, to promote best practices and drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards within the department Execute special projects as needed, with the flexibility to support other areas of the business based on operational or customer requirements.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



BEng / MEng in Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline. Practical experience with CAD software (Creo preferred; SolidWorks/Inventor considered if adaptable). Understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.

DESIRABLE



Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards. Experience with prototype manufacture or university design projects. Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools. Interest in control systems or electromechanical products. It would be advantageous to have knowledge of electronics and CNC machining/programming.
