Job Description

We are seeking a new Graduate Designer to join our industry respected design team, based in our Ilkeston office. The candidate must have sound understanding of 2D CAD packages and ideally some experience and knowledge of the construction industry or producing structural and FE analysis calculations.

After the initial mentored training period the successful candidate will be managing multiple design projects, under contractual deadlines, from initial architect's inception to supporting site installation, liaising with architects and customers at all levels, reporting direct to senior management. You will be responsible for the design of bespoke systems to suit each customer's individual needs, preparation of AutoCAD drawings (drawing represents 60%+ of role). You are expected to review material requirements, costs, calculations, and generate site instruction / installation packages, while liaising with site / architects offering support via telephone or online meetings, and if necessary 'on site' advice.

Desired Skills

Degree level education, preferably in architectural design, product design, structural engineering.

Proficient in 2D CAD (2D AutoCAD LT)

Good verbal and written communication skills
