Job Description

Reporting to a senior member of the Post Contract Team, the Graduate Development Project Manager will be supported and trained by the Post Contract Development team, to eventual having their own responsibilities of managing the delivery of projects to agreed time, cost and quality parameters. The development plan will include gaining experience of Pre-Contract and Programme Team activities to ensure a broad understanding of all aspects of the Development Team. The Post Contract team are responsible for managing and co-ordinating the delivery of projects through the build process on site and ultimately taking handover of completed homes. The Post Contract Team also work closely with builders and our Customer Care Team during the rectification period to ensure all defects are resolved prior agreeing a final account with the builder or developer.

What you will be doing (with support & training):



Assisting with all aspects of the delivery of the development programme including the customer journey process Assisting with all aspects of managing defects and working with the Customer Care Team Preparing of completion financial reports Assisting with the management of building contracts and development agreements, monitoring progress and reporting on the same. Including site visits and attendance at site meetings as required and attendance Assisting with the preparation of information for funding bids Liaising with customers, providing excellent customer service Liaising with Housing Management, Repairs, Asset Management, Sales and other internal departments as appropriate Liaising with external contractors, developers, consultants and members of the public as appropriate Preparing of reports and providing administrative support Working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth and compliant handover of schemes Ensuring the responsibilities of the post are carried out in a way that reflects the standards, vision and values of Great Places Representing Great Places in a professional manner with integrity, inclusivity and respect for diversity Reflecting on your learning and completing all apprenticeship/ qualification-related assignments and activities

What you will need:



A minimum 2:2 achieved in the past 3 years, ideally within a relevant subject area GCSE maths and English or equivalent at grade C/4 or above Curious, can-do attitude and a desire to make a difference Commitment to completing your apprenticeship/ accredited qualification and engaging with the Growing Greatness development programme Excellent written and verbal communication skills Keen eye for detail and good organisational skills Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) A clean UK driving licence and access to a car would be desirable Experience of working in a customer focused environment, with a proven ability of delivering customer service Ability to work as part of a team, as well as using your own initiative and time management skills to deliver tasks on time Commitment to understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the communities in which we work.
