Graduate Electrical Engineer

Job Description

To complement the core operations team with electrical and control knowledge to ensure all systems and components of the plant are installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer and delivered in a safe and orderly manner. A key part of the role will be ensuing control philosophies, design specifications and materials that are unambiguous, accurate and agreed with the client prior to project delivery.

About The Role



Role and Responsibilities



To produce accurate BOM's for electrical components
Create and read electrical layouts and schematic drawings
Manage electrical projects
Specify Electric components and cables for plant, control panels and site wiring.
Focus on reducing cost and cycle time on current plant equipment and projects.
Co-ordinate with all departments relative to all aspects of electrical offices
Co-ordinate with the design and technical team to support the sales team through preliminary technical specifications, site visits and technical advice on the products/process for electrical requirements.
Electrically Support the presales team in the creation of price books and quotations
Liaison with Suppliers to ensure electrical design is per manufacturing capabilities.
Co-ordinate and update Electrical manager on project status.
Fulfill administration duties in the electrical office
Understand and management Electrical CE Marking Requirements and create the electrical session of the Technical File for each product and project.
Understand and apply the requirements for IEE wiring regulations 17th edition.
Participate in Quality reviews and processes.
Follow electrical processes and procedures to ensure high quality drawings and BOM's are in line with company processes.
Ensure electrical drawings are with-in BS standards.


Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.


Adhere to CDE's HR and H&S policies.

Required Criteria



+ Good level of secondary education with high degree of numeracy and literacy + Educated to degree level in an Electrical Engineering discipline 2.1 or above
+ Experience in BOM Creation,
