The Energy sector is faced with many challenges and opportunities associated with the transition to a low carbon economy. As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking to attract an Electrical or Mechanical Energy Graduate, based in Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester or Leeds office.

There will be regular learning sessions with our leadership team, opportunities for site visits to local projects and all kinds of social events that will support your learning and development. Our aim is to welcome as many students as possible back into our other programmes, be that another internship or potential graduate position. This placement is the stepping-stone to your future. Our Advisory teams support professional services across a wide range of strategic and complex projects in many sectors including Energy & Utilities, Commercial, Technology, Science, Healthcare, Industrial, Rail, Property, Aviation and Infrastructure. Some of the professional services we deliver to our clients include Programme and Project management, PMO, Business Transformation, Process Improvement and Strategic and Organisational Change projects. Whether its construction related, or business strategy related, our multidisciplinary approach ensures we provide our clients with a consistent, high quality tailored solutions to meet their complex requirements, which we deliver through our projects and programmes. You will be working a multi-discipline team of engineers and consultants who work on a variety of utility infrastructure projects, predominantly electrical, and renewable energy projects
Is this role right for you?
We're looking for placement students with curiosity, personal drive, design flair and technical knowhow.
If you can combine these skills with an understanding of (or willingness to learn about) and a desire to deliver excellent services for clients, we'd like to hear from you.
You must be working towards a master's degree qualification at a predicted grade of a 2:1 or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with a keen interest in renewable engineering. Please note we will consider applications from candidates who are working towards other suitable master's degree qualifications such as Chemical Engineering, Renewable Energy, etc.
As part of the Energy Advisory business, you can expect to be involved in net zero solutions for a variety of different clients. You will have exposure to renewable generation such as Wind, Solar, BESS, as well as Hydrogen, alternative fuels and district heating from a variety of different energy sources.
Some of our recent projects include large scale solar photovoltaics, electricity storage, low temperature heat networks, low carbon heat generation, hydrogen for transport, biomass CHP projects, city district heating, energy recovery facilities and standby gas generation for data centres, energy market reserves, university/healthcare campuses and data centres.
