The Opportunity
Energy - Sustainability and Climate
Our Climate and Sustainability teams deliver specialist advisory services that address society's need to respond to the climate emergency. We help our clients to avoid and reduce carbon emissions, manage climate risk and enhance the resilience of their business systems and assets as well as the communities and natural environments they operate in.
We're looking for a Graduate Energy Engineer to join our Integrated Energy team of bright professionals. From your first day, you'll join an unrivalled community of experts and engineers within the built environment, where everyone is supported in their career path and in working towards a professional qualification.
You will help us to deliver effective and professional engineering services for a range of varied and high-profile clients across the low carbon energy system transition. This will include but not be limited to whole, low carbon energy system planning; technical and economic modelling of sustainable energy systems using cutting edge digital approaches; design and analysis of new and existing energy projects; carbon emissions accounting, reduction and management; regulations and safety; investment and commercialisation cases for net zero; and, sustainable policy development.
While you'll have a great deal of responsibilities from day one, we'll give you the chance to take on more as you progress and broaden your skills. The role will be focussed on working with and delivering value to our clients, and will include opportunities for networking and developing connections in the sector.
Is this role right for you?
We are looking for individuals with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Energy Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline with a predicted grade of 2:1 or above.
We welcome applicants from a range of relevant subjects. Successful candidates are likely to have a good understanding of one or more of the following subjects:
