The Role



We are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join our technical team. This is a broad and varied role; you will be involved across manufacturing, installation, service, and design. It is a rare opportunity for a graduate to gain full visibility of how high-end capital equipment is built, deployed, and supported in real customer environments.

Responsibilities



Support the

manufacture and assembly

of ultrafast laser systems, including mechanical, optical and electronic sub-assemblies. Assist with

customer installations

on site in the UK and internationally, ensuring systems are delivered and commissioned to specification. Provide

service and technical support

, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades. Contribute to the

design and development

of complex laser systems, working with senior engineers on R&D projects. Work closely with software, mechanical and applications teams to ensure seamless integration of system components. Document processes, test procedures and customer reports to professional standards.

What We're Looking For



Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Practical skills in assembly, testing or lab work (student projects, internships, or hobbies all count). Able to approach problems in a

structured and methodical way

, balancing attention to detail with practical delivery. Willingness to travel for customer site work (UK and overseas). Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent the company in front of customers. A hands-on, proactive attitude, willing to get involved wherever needed.
