A Graduate Electrical Engineer passionate about shaping sustainable, low-carbon places? We're looking for a motivated graduate to join our award-winning practice and contribute to projects across residential, education, commercial, leisure, regeneration, and net zero development sectors.
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced professionals across multiple disciplines, helping deliver innovative and coordinated engineering solutions for high-profile private and public sector clients. Through our Civic Graduate Academy, you'll receive structured mentoring and professional development support as you work towards Incorporated or Chartered status with CIBSE or IET.
What you'll be doing
Supporting the design, analysis, and delivery of electrical engineering systems, including lighting, power, and renewable/low-carbon technologies.
Using industry-standard software to produce models, calculations, and technical drawings.
Preparing and contributing to technical reports and data presentations.
Working with colleagues, clients, and design teams to integrate electrical systems into sustainable building projects.
Attending project meetings and site visits under the guidance of senior engineers.
Ensuring compliance with the practice's quality management systems and industry regulations.
What we're looking for
A degree in Electrical Engineering
Graduate membership of CIBSE or IET (or working towards).
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to a range of audiences.
Competency in MS Office and enthusiasm to learn industry-standard design and analysis software.
A collaborative and proactive approach, with a genuine interest in sustainable, low-carbon engineering solutions.
