As a Graduate Environment and Sustainability Advisor at Browne, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects are executed in accordance with environmental regulations and procedures, while implement sustainability best practices and strategies. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and environmental specialists to minimise the environmental impact of construction activities, while also promoting sustainable practices such as (but not limited to) resource conservation and carbon reduction. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in environmental compliance, sustainable construction techniques, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
Environmental Compliance
: Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, company procedures and industry best practice throughout the project lifecycle.
Sustainability Planning
: Aid in the development and implement of Browne's sustainability plan for the business, including waste management, energy efficiency, and resource conservation initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
: Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and environmental organizations, to address concerns and promote sustainable practices.
Risk Management
: Identify potential environmental risks and develop strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and budgets.
Training and Education
: Provide training and guidance to project teams on environmental compliance, sustainability practices, and risk mitigation strategies.
Monitoring and Reporting
: Monitor environmental performance metrics and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Innovation and Research
: Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in environmental management and sustainability, and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs and execution.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
Desirable Traits
Good knowledge of key environmental legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
