Graduate Environmental Consultant (Land Contamination & Waste Management)

MCL Consulting, multidisciplinary environmental consultants, trading locally for over 15 years, has an opportunity for Graduate Environmental Consultant (Land Quality & Waste Management) to join our team.

This is a Full-Time permanent post, subject to a 3 month probation period. Employee will work across a variety of environmental disciplines primarily in the waste and contaminated land team, but also including environmental drilling, environmental monitoring, noise & air, ecology and environmental surveying. This is a mixed office and field-based role, working mainly throughout Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

Land Quality & Waste-related consultancy services include:-

Undertaking Deskstudy land quality investigations

Drilling supervision and small scale drilling.

Gas monitoring, water sampling.

Waste sampling for waste classification assessments.

Applications for Waste Authorisations such as recycling centres, landfills.

Environmental sampling and monitoring.

Full driving Licence.

Educated to at least BSc Level in a relevant discipline such as environmental science / ecology / engineering, civil engineering.

Voluntary or other relevant environmental experience an advantage.

Must be keen to work outdoors and in various environmental disciplines.

Must be able to demonstrate good report writing abilities, customer service / management skills and teamwork abilities.

Internal on-the-job training will be provided to the successful applicant. Starting salary 25k / annum gross, reviewed annually, excellent benefits package.
