SUMMARY

A varied role within a growing manufacturing business, providing an excellent opportunity for a candidate wishing to develop a career in finance. The role provides both business partnering exposure and experience in core finance, plus supported study towards an accountancy qualification.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Weekly flash P&L forecasts including variance analysis to budget. Provide financial analysis and data led insight to the Finance team and other Heads of Service. Work with the Operations team to provide more insight and drive improvement in areas such as scrap and labour recovery. Support the Finance team in preparation of the monthly management accounts, including analysis of manufacturing variances. Preparation of the monthly Board and SLT management reports. Various tasks to support the regular activity of the finance team as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree qualified Desire to complete accounting qualifications Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

EXPERIENCE

This role is suited to an individual who wishes develop a career in Finance, is keen to learn and is comfortable engaging with colleagues across the business. Some knowledge of accounting and experience of working in a manufacturing organisation is preferable but not essential.

Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent organisational skills and capable of working to tight deadlines. Innovative, confidence to identify and implement improvements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Whilst hybrid working is operational within this role with a mix of office and remote working individuals in this role would gain more benefit from being site based.
