Job Summary


The successful Graduate?Fire?Engineer?will assist senior?engineers in delivering?fire?strategies,?fire?risk assessments, and design-stage consultancy services. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Graduate?Fire?Engineer?will help ensure support safety of Critical National Infrastructure such as submarines, power stations and explosives facilities.

This opportunity allows the Graduate?Fire?Engineer?to develop technical knowledge in?Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR), fire?dynamics, compartmentation, evacuation modelling, and passive/active?fire?protection solutions while working under the guidance of experienced?engineers and?fire?safety?professionals.

Duties



Assist in developing?fire?safety?strategies, reports, technical notes and sketches, ensuring compliance with?fire?regulations Support facility design reviews, assessing?fire?safety?risks and proposing practical, effective solutions Conduct?fire?engineering analysis, including smoke and evacuation modelling, temperature spread calculations, and structural assessments Collaborate with clients, architects, and statutory authorities, ensuring?fire?safety?measures align with project requirements Work with advanced computer modelling software to perform?fire?dynamics assessments and simulations

Essential Requirements



A degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Fire Protection Technologies or a related discipline. A keen interest in?fire?safety, building regulations, and?fire?risk management. Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with clients, design teams, and regulatory bodies. Experience with?fire?modelling software (desirable but not essential - training provided).
