Ashfield Solutions is growing, and we are looking for two Graduate Flood Risk Consultants to join our specialist team in Mountain Ash (CF45 4ER)

Ashfield are making flood hazard data accessible to consumers and working alongside major UK insurers, loss adjusters and conveyancing search providers, to help people and businesses understand and mange flood and climate risk for the 21st century.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those with up to one year of experience who are passionate about a career in flood risk. You'll be supported by experienced consultants and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of projects and service offerings.

The Role:

- Assisting in the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and undertaking flood risk analysis to support planning applications

- Delivering due diligence reviews for commercial real estate transactions

- Assisting with Property Flood Resilience (PFR) surveys and advising on mitigation advice

- Producing clear, client-focused reports for conveyancing

- Supporting outline surface water drainage strategies for new developments

- Using GIS software (e.g. QGIS) to analyse flood mapping and data and produce illustrative figures

What we're looking for:

- A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Environmental Science, Geography, Civil Engineering)

- Some familiarity with GIS, flood risk, hydrology or drainage design (through coursework, internship, or a prior role)

- Good analytical, writing and problem-solving skills

- Confident using MS Office and basic GIS tools

- Full UK driving licence (site work required)

- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn within a collaborative team
