Overview

Our client, a leading joinery and office fit out specialist based in Epping, is seeking a Graduate Designer to join their growing design team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience within a reputable company known for delivering high-quality bespoke joinery for commercial interiors, offices, and retail environments.

The Role

As a Graduate Designer, you'll support the senior design team in developing and producing detailed technical drawings for bespoke furniture and joinery pieces predominately within the office fit out sector. Working closely with designers, project managers, and workshop teams, you'll gain valuable exposure to the full project lifecycle -- from concept through to manufacture and installation.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks. Assist in developing design concepts and visualisations for bespoke joinery and fit out projects. Liaise with senior designers and production teams to ensure drawings are practical for manufacture. Prepare supporting documentation such as material schedules and cutting lists. Ensure all work meets company standards and design specifications. Participate in design meetings and contribute creative ideas.

Requirements

BA (Hons) in Furniture Design, Product Design, or a similar discipline. Proficient in SolidWorks (experience with AutoCAD or similar software is advantageous). A strong eye for detail and an understanding of materials, manufacturing, and assembly methods. Good communication and teamwork skills. Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a fast-paced, creative environment.
