We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing various construction projects while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
Duties
Design and implement civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
Utilise software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and Mathcad for project design and analysis.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project specifications.
Collaborate with project management teams to develop timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and documentation for project submissions.
Engage in system design to optimise functionality and sustainability of engineering solutions.
Liaise with contractors and clients to address any issues that arise during the construction process.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards throughout all phases of the project.
Experience
A degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field is essential.
Proven experience in civil engineering roles with a focus on construction projects is preferred.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is required; familiarity with Revit and MicroStation is advantageous.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent mathematical skills for accurate calculations and analysis of engineering designs.
A solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations is necessary.
