Job Description

Origin are an Engineering company based in the North East of England providing solutions and support for the Offshore, Nuclear and Utilities sectors. Our company has been very successful over the last 12 months, and as such is looking for a Graduate Engineer to grow and strengthen our existing Engineering team.

As a Graduate Engineer at Origin, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and will be supported with professional growth through a bespoke career development plan.

Responsibilities of the role include:



Supporting our existing team across a range of projects in multiple sectors. Producing technical notes, reports, models, drawings, and calculations. Working in line with Client requirements and Engineering standards. Assisting with a range of sales and R&D scopes. Visit and liaise with Clients to support sales and ongoing projects. Attend exhibitions/trade shows/conferences. Work onsite at clients' facilities/with their assets.

HSEQ Responsibilities



Contribute and promote "stop the job" initiative. Ensure product safety and compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks. Be aware of all associated risks for People, the Environment, Assets and Reputation (PEAR). Know their roles and responsibilities and those of colleagues. Actively participate in any job or HSEQ training or instruction by or on behalf of Origin or its clients.

Job Specific Skills & Knowledge



Engineering Degree in relevant discipline e.g. Materials, Mechanical or Chemical (minimum Bachelors, Masters desirable). Good levels of engineering procedures and practices. Knowledge of pipelines / subsea assets desirable. Proficient in the use of MS Excel (including Macros) & Word to automate/optimise processes. Interest in programming and data analysis (desirable). Willing to undertake a UK DBS check if required by Clients.

Strong understanding of engineering first principles. Be able to manage work and prioritise tasks. Commitment to consistent high-quality engineering delivery. Good problem-solving skills. Have the ability to work as part of a team, and also independently when required. Be a hard-working individual who is highly motivated. Display high standards of professional behaviour, consistent with the company policies and values.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 34,000.00-36,000.00 per year
