Job Description

Killowen Contracts currently offer maintenance and minor works across Northern Ireland, and as we continue to be successful in winning exciting new contracts, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic Graduate or Junior Quantity Surveyor to work on our Term Service site at the Royal Hospital in Belfast. This is a full-time, permanent position to commence ASAP.

Responsibilities

Reporting to our Commercial Director, the role will involve administration of a long term framework and all day-to-day Term Service Contract duties.

The successful candidate will have

A third level Quantity Surveying qualification or construction related discipline Graduate or Junior level experience in a Quantity Surveying role on previous Measured Term or Term Service Contracts would be beneficial Knowledge of key quantity surveying processes, tools and methodologies used across the whole project life-cycle Knowledge and experience in the use of a broad range of standard forms of construction contract (including JCT and NEC suite of contracts) Knowledge of the administration of PSA Schedule of Rates desirable but if not we will provide training A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills A full driving licence
