To continue with our growth plans for 2024 and beyond we are searching for Mechanical Engineer Graduates to join our Professional Development Programme for our autumn 2024 intake, based in one of our offices in Glasgow, working on projects throughout Scotland.

ESD is a joint venture between MWH Treatment, Black & Veatch, and Galliford Try formed to deliver Scottish Water\'s Non-Infrastructure programme.

Working within the engineering team you will support the design manager by providing assistance in the following;

• Produce Mechanical design layouts which are cost effective and meet the requirements of the specification.
• Supporting the delivery of design and assessment in a multi-discipline environment
• Monitor design costs and provide design services appropriate to the allowance available
• Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
• Production of clear and well-presented reports, specifications, and other engineering documentation
• Prepare design risk assessments

About You

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Successful candidates will need to be flexible and willing to spend time in other offices and sites. This is to gain a full understanding of new projects and different clients, which will provide fresh experiences and support your development.
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal are essential, and you must be able to work well within a team and independently. You will be self - motivated, flexible and reliable with good problem-solving skills.
• You will also have a strong client service focus and excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. Excellent computer skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office are essential.

• Candidates will also need to have a full UK driving license or have the ability to make their own way to our sites and offices.
